Sweet, sticky and spicy chicken; an all time favorite. It’s a great accompaniment for a Rijsttafel but would also do amazing on a barbecue.

Makes 10-15 skewers
500 gr. Chicken breast
5 tbsp Ketjap Manis
3 tbsp Honey
1/2 tsp Chili powder
1 tsp Djahé (ginger powder)
1 tbsp Lemon juice or Vinegar
– Cut the chicken into 1-2 cm cubes.
– Mix all the ingredients with the chicken and let it marinade. At least 30 minutes but the longer the better.
– Put the chicken on skewers and bake them in a pan, on a grill pan or on the barbecue for 6-8 minutes.
TIP: To prevent the skewers (if wooden) from burning during the cooking process, put them in cold water for 20-30 minutes before putting the chicken on it.
